Welcome to the March Issue of Touch Base, your official alumni newsletter, helping you stay in touch with fellow alumni, teachers, staff, and with The American College of Greece community at large.

With spring upon us, there’s a lot to look forward to: a lift in our spirits as we see nature perform its annual miracle of rejuvenating flora and fauna, coloring the landscape and extending daylight hours. March marks the passing of seasons – on March 20th we officially welcome spring – and the observance of Greek Independence Day on March 25th. March also marks International Women’s Day on March 8th, and in this Issue of Touch Base, we are proud to feature four ACG alumnae who have been ranked among FORTUNE Greece’s 20 Most Powerful Women in Business.

Also in this issue, for those looking to enhance their career, don’t miss our engaging interview with DEREE ’90 alum Nikos Yannoulatos, Managing Partner at Cornerstone Greece, about what companies are looking for in their search for executives, and what industries and skills alumni should focus on.

We also feature a number of alumni who are moving ahead in their career paths, sometimes within the same organization, other times switching companies. Also read about alumni visiting campus, informing students about their careers and lifepaths – including at a series of events taking place in March which are open to alumni, eg Business Week, Sustainability Week and Communication Week, among others.

Don’t miss our inspiring feature about alum Panos Karan’s new project with Keys of Change, bringing music, comfort and knowledge to disenfranchised children all over the world, this time to survivors of the Fukushima Tsunami and nuclear accident – bringing them to London for a unique concert.

For more inspiriting events, read about Bike-A-Thon athlete Dimitris Politis’ (DEREE ’90) meeting with the scholarship recipients that benefited from his cycling feat last year.

Happy Spring!
