Close to 80 ACG alumni and friends who work in or near London caught up at the ACG London Reunion on May 16, reuniting with classmates and making new friends and contacts at a reception held at the London Hilton Park Lane.

This year’s guests of honor were the 2013 ACG/LIBRA International Internship & Study Abroad Program (IISAP) students enrolled in internships with the LIBRA Group in London.

“I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to update our UK alumni and friends regarding the College and to introduce them to the International Internship & Study Abroad Program as well as to our DEREE students who are doing internships with the LIBRA Group – young men and women who best exemplify how much ACG has to offer,” says President Horner, who traveled to the event with Dr. S. Sue Horner, George Triantaris, VP for Development & Alumni Relations, and Mary-Irene Triantafillou (DEREE ’89), Executive Director of Development at ACG.

ACG’s second London Reunion was well attended by PIERCE and DEREE alumni, including DEREE Volunteer Alumni Leader (VAL) Maria Balta (DEREE ’03), as well as executives from the LIBRA group – ACG’s IISAP founding partner – and other guests from the business community.

“Over the past few years, we have noticed a movement toward the UK not only of recent graduates but also of older alumni,” says George Triantaris, VP for Development & Alumni Relations at ACG, adding “we intend to continue to reach out to the nearly 500 ACG alumni now residing in the UK and provide ways for them to connect with each other and the College.”

The event also showcased ACG’s efforts to expand scholarship support, and revealed that alumni gatherings are in the works in other cities around the world with a strong ACG alumni presence.
