“Winning an award is an honor in itself, says Wos, adding that the award “grants that recognition for good or even exceptional work. It inevitably puts a quality stamp that is equivalent to a widely-respected certificate… Receiving this award was also an ideal moment to thank the people that accompanied me along this marvelous and yet challenging journey. They were my friends and professors who inspired me and helped me stay the course when things were difficult. One of them, during my time at DEREE, was Professor Harry Athanassopoulos, who actually introduced me to the brilliant and stimulating world of the Association for Communications, Electronics, Intelligence and Information Systems Professionals (AFCEA) and showed me a myriad of opportunities it offers if I was interested and motivated to get involved.”
