Lesson Plan

A Lesson plan is a teacher’s detailed description of the course. In the lesson plan you can see the lesson profile, the objectives and various content item that you need in order to complete a lesson inside a lesson plan. The instructor provides information for the needed material ,measurement of knowledge and what the student has to have mastered after the lesson is finished.

The Lesson Plan has by default four sections:

  • Instructional Level
  • Instructor
  • Objectives
  • Subject Area

These section can be modified by the instructor or removed completely.

New sections can be added by the Add Lesson Plan Section drop-down list.

This drop-down list has numerous section that can be added and modified by the instructor that are split into 5 columns.

 

There is also Curriculum Resources that appears right next to the Content Information when the lesson is displayed. From this tab your can add any kind of content as you would in a content area using any of the following four drop-down lists that are created. (Build Content, Create Assessment,Add Interactive Tool and Assign Textbook)

 

Create a Lesson Plan

  • In the navigation menu on the left, click a Content Area.
  • From the Build Content menu, select Lesson Plan.
  • In the Name field, type the name of the Lesson Plan.
  • In the Description field, you can write and overview of the Lesson and enrich  it with visual content.
  • In the Instructor Field, type the name of the instructor and check the Share with Students box if you want the students of the course to see the name.
  • In the Objectives field, type the learning objectives of the lesson and check the Share with Students box if you want the students of the course to see the name.
  • In the Subject area, type the Subject of the lesson and check the Share with Students box if you want the students of the course to see the name.
  • Modify the Standard Options field to your liking.
  • Click Save and Continue.
