DEREE – The American College of Greece launches new content rich Web site
DEREE - The American College of Greece, the oldest and largest American sponsored college in Europe, has launched a new content-rich Web site. The new acg.edu is organized to make content easy to find. Users can now choose two methods of navigating the site – by constituent group and by topic area. The site also contains many new secure online forms to help request information, apply and stay in touch with the College.
Prospective students, for example, can quickly locate information about DEREE as well as an application by choosing “Prospective Students.” DEREE alumni can go to a special area created just for them. Within that area, alumni can read about upcoming events and send updates about their news & accomplishments. The new online Student Success Center puts everything a current student needs into one place. Students can read about advising, register for a course, or apply for graduation.
The new DEREE Web site was managed by Kathleen M. Cross, Chief Technology Officer and Dean of Studies Abroad, in conjunction with U.S.-based James Tower/Blue Hue Interactive, a subsidiary of the international Taylor Corporation.
“We believe that the ACG community will find the new acg.edu Web site to be an incredible resource,” said Dean Cross. “Beyond all the new and useful information that can be easily accessed, we think our alumni, faculty, students and staff will enjoy the many new photographs that showcase the beauty of our campus.”
The Web site is powered by the content management system, which makes editing Web pages both easy and secure. The Office of Information Resources Management (IRM) will begin training campus-wide content managers in how to keep their information fresh and compelling.
