Welcome to the Web site of The American College of Greece, the Internet home of Europe’s oldest and largest U.S.-accredited academic institution.

For 135 years, ACG has been home to talented scholars, artists and a community built upon the foundations of visionary Congregational missionaries from Massachusetts who established a girls’ school in Smyrna in 1875. Since then, the College has evolved into a vibrant, formidable and comprehensive institution serving Greek and international students. From our campus in Athens, ACG continues to serve as a bridge of cultural continuity, friendship and academic excellence between Greece and the United States.

As you look around ACG, you will see new international programs of study, modern classrooms, laboratories, computer centers, sports facilities, student housing, and research facilities.

For our many alumni in Athens and around the world, the site offers a new way to stay connected, be informed, and take advantage of all that ACG has to offer. For our current students, the new site is a comprehensive portal to the technology of the modern university experience.
