Creative Time Summit streamed LIVE at DEREE

DEREE students and faculty as well as artists from around the globe gathered to watch live streaming of the Creative Time Summit in Stockholm for the first time on campus, joining thousands of international viewers over the weekend.

Organized by Creative Time in New York and the Public Art Agency in Sweden, this was the first time that the annual conference took place outside New York and focused on artists and the themes of Nationalism, Performing The City, Activating Public Space, Art in the Surveillance State, and Migrations.

The Summit – which each year aims at exploring the intersection between art and social justice – enabled artists, activists, and politicians to debate and propose solutions to these issues.

The Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts organized the event on campus, enabling live streaming at the Faculty Lounge, where discussion panels featuring DEREE professors and curators explored the pressing issues with artists and students.
