Dr. Panagiotis Asimakopoulos has taught undergraduate and graduate finance and economic courses such as corporate finance, topics in finance financial mathematics, derivatives and risk management, mathematical economics, investment, financial modeling and financial accounting. His research interests principally concentrate on the area of corporate finance and payout policy. Other primary areas of academic interest are the examination of cash holding behaviors, merger and acquisitions, and sustainable finance and governance. His research has been presented in several national and international conferences and published in highly ranked peer-reviewed international journals in Finance such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA), the Journal of Financial Stability (JFS), the European Journal of Finance (EJF), and the Journal of International Review of Financial Analysis (IRFA).
