Deree College - Admissions - Requirements

Local students

The following are required of all freshman applicants:

  • A complete application form *
  • An official secondary school transcript and an official copy of secondary school diploma (apolitirio from Greek schools), both certified by school authorities
  • Evidence of proficiency in English
  • One letter of recommendation from an academic teacher
  • A certified copy of identification card for Greek citizens or of a valid passport for international citizens
  • An on-campus interview or an off-campus interview with a designated Deree Representative

* For international students there is an international students fee due at the time of submission of application.

Transfer students

The following are required of all transfer students:

  • A completed application form*
  • An official transcript sent directly from your previous college or university to the Office of Admissions
  • A catalog from your previous college or university or official grading scales and syllabi from the courses to be considered for transfer
  • Evidence of proficiency in English or a minimum of 30 semester credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution where the language of instruction is English.

International Students

The requirements for admission are the same for international students as they are for Greek nationals (local students). Please see the sections on "Local Students" and/or "Transfer Students" sections for admissions requirements.

International students may contact the Coordinator of Information and Visitors Center (dc.studaff@acg.edu) where they can receive assistance in making a smooth transition to the College and to Greek society and culture.

Citizens of countries that are not members of the European Union who wish to study at the College must obtain permission to enter Greece and to reside here in accordance with Greek law. Applicants for admission are advised to verify the requirements for nationals of their country through the Greek Consular authorities. Acquiring the proper documentation to reside in Greece is the responsibility of the applicant. Students may contact the Coordinator of Information and Visitors Center for more information concerning student visas and residence permits.
