In Deree I eventually found myself, explored my inner aspirations and hidden potential.

Besides an excellent academic background, my professors also provided me with the essential know-how to make my first job application.

I have already worked for Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and BNP Paribas.

As a Deree College Ambassador I had the opportunity to work for the American Embassy in Greece, an unforgettable experience.

Now I feel completely ready to begin my professional career.

In a few words, I can say that, equipped with the academic background, professional skills and self-confidence, I am ready to confront the future.

I grew up in Aghia Paraskevi and, as a youth, I always, wondered what The American College of Greece looked like from inside. When I learned the results of my University Entry Exams, I was satisfied to attend the University of Patra, but I also felt sad. I would have had to study a major not included in my top ten list. So, searching for a better alternative, I came to Deree College to ask for information concerning the majors offered and to have a close look at the campus. I can still remember stepping onto the College campus for the first time, and how amazed I was by the friendly environment and its facilities. It took me only a few moments to realize that Deree was what I was looking for… I wanted to study here, it was as simple as that.

Since then, three years have passed, full of memories, great memories. In a few months I will graduate and I have already started feeling anxious, because in a while I will not be here any more. I will have to continue with my life, leaving behind fun and good friends. On the other hand, I feel more confident with the knowledge I have gained from my instructors, not only for the courses, but also for helping me identify the real world, the difficulties that await me, in the marketplace.

Here, at Deree, I have had a chance to live a real college life of parties and excursions, and study my courses, of course. Furthermore, being actively involved with the Student Union and other organizations, I have learned so much and have had so many experiences that I believe it will be a key factor for my future career. During these years I have developed my character and created a strong personality thanks to Deree's principles and values.

When I first visited The American College of Greece in Aghia Paraskevi two years ago, the huge campus impressed me, with its great variety of facilities.

The reason I chose Deree College was its excellent reputation for high-level academics and because its alumni have secured important positions in many Greek and international companies. The degrees requirements include both interesting general education courses and in-depth concentration ones; information technology is one of the strong features of the College.

Along with attending courses, I work as a student assistant. Apart from the fees reduction, this job has offered me the opportunity to meet some important people and to acquire valuable experience.

These last two years at Deree College have proven to be very creative ones, confirming my belief that coming here really was a wise choice.

I decided to enroll at The American College of Greece because I believe it is the best institution in Greece to get a bachelor's degree. My instructors are highly educated, friendly and very helpful. After two years of study, I am extremely satisfied with the level of knowledge I have gained. I have easy access to the computer labs and the library for any research I want.

Moreover, I am free to express myself and be part of many student activities and events, such as lectures, conferences and athletics.

I should not fail to mention the advantages of the facilities and the friendly environment that surrounds me every day.

I am sure that The American College of Greece will play a significant role in my life.

I am a senior at The American College of Greece, graduating in December with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

Because many relatives of mine have graduated from Deree, I was quite aware of its existence, as well as of how highly it is recognized in the private business sector. Therefore, Deree was my first option.

At first I was quite reluctant of whether my application would be accepted, however The Junior College (a division of The American College of Greece) gave me an opportunity to prove of my capabilities. For the first time I was able to study exactly what I was interested in, from the first semester on.

The way the courses were taught, the facilities, the majority of the instructors I met in my four years educational experience, the projects I engaged in, the whole educational environment none of it pressured me as I had expected! On the contrary, the whole system motivated me to try harder and made me to be even more interested in Marketing. Moreover, the fact that the courses are taught in English instead of giving me a hard time provided excellent language practice.

The last four years have been a fabulous academic journey that I am going to miss.

The American College of Greece is a life-time experience!

I am majoring in Communications. I chose to study at The American College of Greece because it has two major advantages over the Greek universities. First, it gives its students an opportunity to improve their knowledge of the English language, second the advanced facilities and how they operate allow students to organize their academic-life better (studying and term papers and other assignments) with the help of libraries, computer labs and other course-related laboratories (e.g. biology lab), concert halls, gym facilities and other recreational clubs that contribute to expanding students' horizons in different areas. By joining these clubs and societies, students' socialization is strongly stimulated and facilitated.

From my three-year experience of studying at Deree College I have gained knowledge on different subjects of interest to me through the general educational requirements as well as through the elective courses that students are free to chose from. Various seminars in addition to related courses keep students informed on different subjects relevant to Greek society, as well as on timely facts and events happening in the world. Field trips and excursions are educational and complementary to academic life, but also help fulfill requirements for graduation. I should not forget to mention the co-operation, understanding, and willing assistance of the college's instructors, which make students want to become even more functional members of the Deree community. Finally, the multicultural environment has helped me become more open-minded, informed about and sensitive towards minorities and the difficulties they may be facing.

To conclude, most of my fellow students would agree that Deree College is an exceptional educational institution and constitutes a strong starting point that increases the possibility of having a successful career after graduation.
