  • 1875
    Founding of a school for girls in Smyrna, Asia minor by American Christian missionaries
     
  • 1885
    The College expands into higher education
     
  • 1922
    The College leaves Smyrna after the Asia Minor catastrophe
     
  • 1923
    The College reopens in Athens at the personal invitation of Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos
     
  • 1961
    Pierce College incorporated in the state of Colorado and authorized by grant bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees
     
  • 1965
    Settlement of the College in Aghia Paraskevi, a northeastern suburb of Athens
     
  • 1971
    The Downtown campus is established
     
  • 1973
    Undergraduate division is named Deree College in honor of Vassilis Derehanis, a generous benefactor
     
  • 1980
    Pierce College and Deree College become divisions under the name of The American College of Greece
     
  • 1981
    The American College of Greece is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges
     
  • 1993
    A new urban campus is established in a new five-story facility near the city's business center
     
  • 1994
    The Junior College is established at the Downtown campus
     
  • 1997
    Extension and renovation of the Deree College Library in Aghia Paraskevi
     
  • 2000
    The College celebrates its one hundred and twenty-fifth anniversary
     
  • 2001
    Completion of Communications Building, Studio Theater and Open-air Theater in Aghia Paraskevi. Center for Continuing and Professional Studies established
     
  • 2002
    Consecration of the College Chapel in Aghia Paraskevi
     
  • 2003
    First graduate program - the MBA is launched
