Position Title: Special Campaigns Administration Assistant

Department Name: Office of Career Services

Timeline: June to July (Summer session II 2016) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% Discount

Position Overview (show)

The Special Campaigns Administration Assistant supports the Office of Career Services in materializing special projects for the promotion and continual improvement of its services. Contributes in the Career Portal campaign by developing promotional material and systematically encouraging student log-ins. Participates in the creation and implementation of Career Office surveys. Communicates effectively with ACG students and alumni to promote surveys and campaigns, and to provide information. Works systematically and with a degree of independence to complete long-term and short-term projects; reports on projects’ progress.

Key Responsibilities (show)

  • Prepare material to promote the Career Portal and its new mobile application
  • Promote the Career Portal systematically through Social Media, one-on-one communication and other channels
  • Approach students to log in the Career Portal and complete surveys
  • Explain and present the system’s functions and benefits to ACG students
  • Promote the services offered by the office; collect and compile promotional material
  • Research on systems and services offered by US & EU Universities and their campaigns
  • Contribute in the implementation and promotion of Career Office surveys
  • Perform data entry and other office administration duties
  • Special projects depending on the needs of the office

Position Title: Promotion and Communication Assistant

Department Name: Office of Residential and International Student Services

Position Overview (show)

The Promotion and Communication Assistant engages in projects aiming at promoting and communicating a wide range of cultural events and activities to incoming international students; Assimilates the functions of the Greek way of living, doing things and actively provoke networking and cross-cultural communication between the local student community and incoming students. Supports the office staff in the production of promotional materials of student life and cultural immersion material for presentation in social media platforms with an emphasis on the experience of international students on the ACG campus and beyond.

  • Collection and compilation of student life and cultural immersion material for presentation in social media platforms with an emphasis on the experience of international students on the ACG campus and broader area
  • Produce written and visual/multimedia content (promotional material) for e-mail, website and social media network use
  • Support with multimedia coverage (photos, videos) of Residential and International Student life events and activities
  • Support with the creation and implementation of communication initiatives
  • Communicate upcoming events and activities to the student community
  • Actively offer personal insight during brainstorming processes and contribute in making cultural immersion a unique experience for every international student residing in the college residence complex

Position Overview (show)

The Residence Life Events Assistant supports the cross-cultural experience of incoming study abroad students at The American College of Greece (ACG) by co-organizing, supporting and facilitating a wide range of cultural events and activities. While designed for an international student, this internship position requires openness, an adventurous mindset and willingness to embrace different cultures as well as getting exposed to the Greek way of living.

Position Title: Residence Life Program Research Assistant

Department Name: Office of Residential and International Student Services

Position Overview (show)

The Residence Life Program Research Assistant will lead research projects pertaining to the active engagement of students at The American College of Greece. He/she will be required to participate in the design and creation of surveys and will conduct primary data (answer gathering) and secondary data (executive reporting) reports. In certain instances the intern will be asked to proceed with the drafting of ideas to practically employ them after the completion of the semester.

The Electronic Resources Depository Assistant is actively involved in the development of a database of resources on College Skills and guidelines to be placed on the SASS Blackboard for use by ACG students.
