Merit Scholarship

Intent of the Award

Deree – The American College of Greece is proud to announce the Deree Merit Scholarship Program open to outstanding high school graduates. With this program, graduates who have achieved excellent grades in high school will receive an automatic tuition reduction at Deree based on the following scale. The program is also flexible and allows students to pursue parallel studies, that is, simultaneous attendance at Deree and a Greek University.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a high school graduate
  • Have achieved a GPA of at least 17

To continue receiving the award students must:

For bachelor degree-seeking students:

  • Achieve a Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.0/4.0 by the end of the second semester of study and maintain this CI thereafter
  • Earn passing grade(s) in EAPP courses if they are under the English for Academic Purposes Program
  • Register for at least 2 courses (6 credits or more) per continuous semesters
  • Complete their studies at Deree within a period of six continuous years

For certificate minor-seeking students or non-degree students:

  • Achieve a Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.0/4.0 by the end of the first semester of study and maintain this CI thereafter
  • Earn passing grade(s) in EAPP courses if they are under the English for Academic Purposes Program
  • Register for at least 2 courses (6 credits or more) per continuous semesters
  • Complete their studies at Deree within a period of three continuous years

No application procedure is required unless interested students wish to file for additional need-based financial assistance.
