Position Title: Data Analysis Assistant

Department Name: Student Academic Support Services (SASS)

Timeline: June 28 to July 27 (Summer Session II) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Data Analysis Assistant handles the analysis of data on flow of appointments at SASS and the feedback surveys and produces reports on patterns.

Requirements (show)

  • Ability to handle quantitative data
  • Excellent use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Very good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • High level of self-motivation

Key Responsibilities (show)

  • Analyze the data that is provided by the SASS Appointment Management System
  • Analyze the data collected by the feedback Surveys on SASS effectiveness.
  • Discover and reporting patterns
  • Liaise with SASS Director and key student workers for setting priorities in the analysis.
  • Production of reports using PowerPoint, summarizing the findings.

Position Title: Student Affairs/ACG Health & Wellness, Special Projects intern

Department Name: Student Affairs, ACG Health & Wellness

Position Overview (show)

The Special Projects intern will focus on two main projects:

  • Update Know the Facts Articles
  • Assist with the administration of the ACG Health & Wellness Survey

Requirements (show)

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Publisher; Photoshop skills not required, but would be considered an asset
  • Interest in conducting research through surveys
  • Interest in Wellness related issues
  • Able to review print material; good research skills
  • Good eye for photography
  • Customer Service oriented; very patient; flexible; calm; kind; outgoing; discreet; confidentiality required

Key Responsibilities (show)

  • Reformat Know the Facts articles written in previous years with the new logo, take original pictures and insert them in the brochures.
  • Add current online sources where students can learn more about the topic.
  • Determine appropriate photo staging to create original material. Some photos will include students, others will be of still life. Contact students to participate in photo shoots; stage and conduct photo shoots.
  • Assist in the design, distribution, collection, analysis and presentation of a survey on Health Issues at Deree

Position Title: Instructional Technology Assistant

Department Name: Office of Information Resources Management

Timeline: June 28 to July 27 (Summer Session II) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Web Development Intern will join the College’s information services team. Under the supervision of the Instructional Technology Specialist will work as a part of a small team and will responsible for the support of the instructional technology platforms offered by the College including faculty and end-user support.

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Understanding of Blackboard Learn
  • Basic computing expertise
  • Web page maintenance experience
  • Respect of confidentiality

  • Proficiency in the English language

The following will be considered a plus:

  • Web page maintenance experience (HTML, CSS) using open source tools

  • Keeping Blackboard pages fresh
  • Blackboard page review and quality control
  • Possibility of photo/graphics utilization

Position Title: Special Campaigns Administration Assistant

Department Name: Office of Career Services

Timeline: January 2016 – May 2016 (Spring Semester); 10 hours per week corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Special Campaigns Administration Assistant supports the Office of Career Services in materializing special projects for the promotion and continual improvement of its services. Contributes in the Career Portal campaign by developing promotional material and systematically encouraging student log-ins. Participates in the creation and implementation of Career Office surveys. Communicates effectively with ACG students and alumni to promote surveys and campaigns, and to provide information. Works systematically and with a degree of independence to complete long-term and short-term projects; reports on projects’ progress.

  • Prepare material to promote the Career Portal and its new mobile application
  • Promote the Career Portal systematically through Social Media, one-on-one communication and other channels
  • Approach students to log in the Career Portal and complete surveys
  • Explain and present the system’s functions and benefits to ACG students
  • Promote the services offered by the office; collect and compile promotional material
  • Research on systems and services offered by US & EU Universities and their campaigns
  • Contribute in the implementation and promotion of Career Office surveys
  • Perform data entry and other office administration duties
  • Special projects depending on the needs of the office
