Position Title: Electronic Resources Depository Assistant

Department Name: Student Academic Support Services (SASS)

Timeline: May 18 to June 19 (Summer Session I) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Electronic Resources Depository Assistant is actively involved in the development of a database of resources on College Skills and guidelines to be placed on the SASS Blackboard for use by ACG students.

Requirements (show)

  • Strong interest and ability for data mining
  • Ability to compile bibliographic lists
  • Very good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good use of Microsoft Word
  • Ability to take initiative
  • High level of self-motivation
  • An eye for detail and strong sense of responsibility

Key Responsibilities (show)

  • Creation of lists of print and electronic resources on various college skills.
  • Assisting with the development of an effective way of presenting those resources.

Position Title: Student Affairs/ACG Health & Wellness, Special Projects intern

Department Name: Student Affairs, ACG Health & Wellness

Timeline: May 18 to June 19 (Summer Session I) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Special Projects intern will focus on two main projects:

  • Update Know the Facts Articles
  • Assist with the administration of the ACG Health & Wellness Survey

Requirements (show)

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Publisher; Photoshop skills not required, but would be considered an asset
  • Interest in conducting research through surveys
  • Interest in Wellness related issues
  • Able to review print material; good research skills
  • Good eye for photography
  • Customer Service oriented; very patient; flexible; calm; kind; outgoing; discreet; confidentiality required

Key Responsibilities (show)

  • Reformat Know the Facts articles written in previous years with the new logo, take original pictures and insert them in the brochures.
  • Add current online sources where students can learn more about the topic.
  • Determine appropriate photo staging to create original material. Some photos will include students, others will be of still life. Contact students to participate in photo shoots; stage and conduct photo shoots.
  • Assist in the design, distribution, collection, analysis and presentation of a survey on Health Issues at Deree

Position Title: Web Development Intern

Department Name: Office of Information Resources Management

Timeline: May 18 to June 19 (Summer Session I) 10 hours per week, corresponding to 15% discount

Position Overview (show)

The Web Development Intern will join the College’s information services team. Under the supervision of the Web Applications Manager will work as a part of a small team and will responsible for the support of the College’s web sites along with the development of new ones.

Requirements (show)

  • Familiarity with website management and development (HTML, CSS).
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress, Drupal
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages
  • Respect of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent use of social media platforms
  • Genuineness and team-work orientation
  • Good knowledge and experience of Photoshop
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Proficiency in the English language

The following will be considered a plus:

  • Basic knowledge of PHP scripting
  • Basic knowledge of databases management

Position Title: Data Administration Assistant

Department Name: Office of Career Services

Position Overview (show)

The Data Administration Assistant supports the Office of Career Services in materializing special projects for the continual improvement of its services. Maintains the Career Office Database, entering and extracting data with precision. Communicates effectively with ACG students and alumni to provide information on different services offered and obtain information for surveys. Works systematically and with a degree of independence to complete long-term and short-term projects; reports on projects’ progress.

  • Control and improve company and student entries on the OCS database; make changes with caution where needed
  • Contribute in the implementation and promotion of Career Office surveys
  • Communicate with students, alumni, partner companies to obtain data for various projects
  • Perform data entry and other office administration duties
  • Approach students to log in the Career Portal and complete surveys
  • Explain and present the system’s functions and benefits to ACG students
  • Promote the services offered by the office; collect and compile promotional material
  • Special projects depending on the needs of the office
