HONORS
Through its years of ongoing contributions and service to the Greek society, The American College of Greece has received a number of acknowledgements and awards, they include:

On March 20, 1996, the Secretary General of the Hellenic Red Cross, presented President John S. Bailey with the gold medal and diploma - the highest recognition of its kind - in appreciation of the College's support over the years for the efforts of the Hellenic Red Cross. |
On September 6, 2000, President John S. Bailey was awarded the Commemorative Medal of the City of Athens by Dimitris L. Avramopoulos, Mayor of Athens, in recognition of his twenty-five years of service and contribution to Greek education as President of The American College of Greece. |

On April 9, 1996, President John S. Bailey was honored by Constantinos Anastasopoulos, mayor of the island of Hydra, at the Town Hall and presented with the Revolutionary Flag of the War of Independence of 1821.
On May 19, 1997, in an official ceremony in the Old Parliament, Athens, the Greek Women's Cultural Union presented the College with an honorary diploma and commemorative souvenir for its valuable contribution in preserving the memory of Ionia and the living tradition of Hellenism in Asia Minor and the Pontos.
On June 5, 2000, in an official ceremony in Peristilio Hall at the Zappeion Megaron, Deree College was awarded the "Special Honorary Quality Distinction" for its enduring and ongoing contributions in the development of management executives and to total quality management.
Η επιβράβευση της μακράς και υψηλής εκπαιδευτικής και κοινωνικής προσφοράς τού Αμερικανικού Κολλεγίου Ελλάδος στον τόπο μας διαφαίνεται από τις υψηλές διακρίσεις που κατά καιρούς έχει λάβει: Βραβείο της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών (Δεκέμβριος 1986), Χρυσό Μετάλλιο της Πόλης των Αθηνών, βραβεία και μετάλλια του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου (1987, 1988), του Ελληνικού Ερυθρού Σταυρού (Ιανουάριος 1995) και άλλων πνευματικών και κοινωνικών ιδρυμάτων της χώρας.
